Offering Support & Connecting Families with Family Child Care Providers in Ventura County

Notice of the Dissolution of the Gold Coast Child Care Association

May 18, 2015

The Gold Coast Child Care Association (GCCCA) Board of Directors sent out a notice for a member meeting to be held on Tuesday May 12, at 6:00 p.m. at Baja Fresh in Ventura. During that meeting a vote was held to dissolve the GCCCA. The majority of voters consisted of members of the association, the vote was unanimous. This is a notice to inform you of the dissolution of the Gold Coast Child Care Association.

It is important for family child care providers to have a strong network of support and resources therefore it is encouraged that family child care providers join the Ventura County Child Care Association (formerly known as the Conejo Valley Association).

The Board of Directors of the Ventura County Child Care Association, already an impactful and recognizable association within the Ventura County child care community, are enthusiastic about the opportunity to have previous Gold Coast Child Care Association members join their association and create a unified, greater association.

The Ventura County Child Care Association is a professional organization of licensed family child care providers. They are well respected and known for being a dedicated group of professionals. Members are supported through public exposure of phone and online child care referrals, resources, important licensing updates, newsletters, bi monthly trainings and meetings and an abundance of networking opportunities with other family child care providers in the field.
